Good Morning!  Here are a few items of interest from our morning paddle through the news:

Rethinking the current approach to high speed rail.  Newgeography.com posts on waning support for HSR and a better approach starting with a demonstration corridor in the Northeast.

A great day for the Pacific Ocean.  That’s how one environmentalist described the recent ruling by the California Supreme Court that upheld the right of cities there to ban plastic bags.  Latimes.com reports on the latest development in a war pitting plastic bag makers v. environmentalists.

Fish school-inspired wind farms.  Cleantechnica posts on a team from CalTech bucking the trend to larger/taller horizontal axis turbines with work on smaller, vertical axis wind turbine designs inspired by the movement of schooling fish.
